A Qatar Police Clearance Certificate or Qatar PCC is an official document issued in the applicant’s name by the Director of Criminal Evidence and Information and Department, Qatar, detailing the applicant’s criminal records. It is issued for various purposes, such as applying for residential status, employment, immigration, education, etc. The applicant has to submit the required documents per the certificate’s purpose. Purpose – Employment
- Expatriates (Non-Qatari)
- Application form stating the sponsorship transfer duly attested by the General Directorate of Border passports and Expatriates Affairs (For male applicants)
- All applicants must submit the offer letter from the employer addressed to the Director of Criminal Evidences and Information and Department
- Police Clearance Certificate from native country or embassy attested by the Foreign Ministry of Qatar (Qatar MOFA).
- No objection certificate from previous employer if the applicant is currently employed (for female applicants).

Purpose – Migration and Education
If the applicant is an aspiring to migrate to a foreign country or go abroad for higher education, he / she shall submit the following documents along with the application.

Purpose – Personal and business
An applicant seeking Qatar PCC for Personal Purposes (marriage etc.) or for the commencement of any business establishments (Company formation, for work visa, starting schools etc.) or any other commercial activities such as getting a customs clearance certificate etc. has to submit the following documents.
- A letter stating the purpose from the authorized personnel addressed to the Director of Criminal Evidences and Information.
- Copy of passport and Qatar ID
- 2 passport size photos
- Police clearance Certificate from the native country duly attested by the Foreign Ministry of Qatar.

Applicants living outside Qatar
A person living outside Qatar can also avail of PCC from Qatar, provided he/she has lived in Qatar for over 6 months. In such cases, the applicant must submit the following documents:
- Copies of current and old passport pages, including personal particulars, residence permit, dates of first entry and last exit from the country.
- Fingerprint – If the first entry is on or before 10 years, or if the client’s fingerprint is not registered there, the client must provide their fingerprint.
- Passport size photos – 3
- A letter stating the purpose requirement of the certificate is mandatory.

NB:-
- A Qatari resident born in Qatar need not submit PCC from the native country. Â However he / she has to attach the birth certificate along with application. If the applicant entered Qatar when he was a minor (under 16 years) must enclose a copy of the page containing the date of the first entry to Qatar along with other documents.
- A Qatari national who is below 30 years of age and has not passed the Secondary School Examination applying for PCC need to obtain a Non-objection certificate from Qatari Armed Forces or MOI stating that he has never been employed in the Ministry or Armed Forces.
- A person living outside Qatar can either return to Qatar or ask a representative with a power of attorney in Qatar to apply on behalf of the applicant at the Criminal Evidences and Information Department. Â
- A female applicant must attach the No-objection Certificate or letter and a copy of the ID card from the sponsor.
